How Much Content Does a Niche Blog Need?

August 8th, 2009
Alex asked:

I’m currently working on a niche blog and have about 20 articles. I want to get at least 60 before I create a new blog on a different niche. I want to be making $5-$10 a day from adsense off of each blog. How much traffic would I need to achieve this? Is 60 posts enough, too little, or more than enough to make that much money?

Using Free Articles Can Build Up Your Ranking

August 2nd, 2009

Locating free articles as content to place in your website provides valuable assistance to your website ranking in the search engines.  First off, free web content articles provide direct niche content that your viewers are always looking for.Using article directorys allows you to add lots of pages of information to your site, which will also have the side benefit of keeping viewers around longer.I cannot really see many circumstances where more quality content would ever hurt a site – almost every scenario it is better.Having a bunch of additional content allows you to broaden out your target keywords and pull in more page views.

One of the main keys to keep in mind is to really tailor the articles you add on your site to your specific niche. If you have a site about gardening and tools – you dont want information non related to gardening, it just does not really make sense.  Often the addition of a blog to a site about the niche is a great addition, as you can post all the articles you find interesting to this blog.It is very easy to do, and its free as well. One great benefit of adding lots of niche content is users will bookmark your site and come back often to read more. The main thing to remember is to really try to make it interesting to yourself – if you like the content, most likely others will also.  Often times you can also add an RSS feed from specific article sites to automatically update your content so it always appears fresh. This is a great option for those people who simply do not have the time to update content themselves every day or every few days.Blogs by others, or an article directory are often a terrific source of web content, all of which you can pull in using an RSS feed. One of the benefits to using RSS feeds is they automatically pull the content to your site whenever the source adds information.

Whichever method you choose to get the content on the website, usually this will equate to higher search engine rankings as they get smarter about assessing the quality of sites and knock down the ones that don’t meet the benchmarks for quality. This will also start to remove sites that dont have as much content or do not really work on it – their hurt is your gain.  Using an article directory is a must have for those looking to build up the back links to their websites.

Can I make some decent money with a website like this?

July 29th, 2009
Anonymous asked:

I’ve heard quite a bit about affiliate marketing. I might start an informational site, with good original content written by me. On the site, I’d have Google Adsense, and also some affiliate links to products related to the niche.

If I can get some good traffic to the site, could I make some decent money with it?

Right now, what types of websites are easiest to make money?

May 31st, 2009
TheErrandBoy asked:

Of ‘cos, many will say success depends a lot on niche that you like and have passion for.
Some say sites like porn, casinos. Some say Adsense blogs. Some say buying and selling products on ebay.

P.S. Please don’t post your affiliate links to pyramid/MLM/ matrix schemes here. Also don’t tell us story how you lost money and then post affiliate link to your fantastic website that earn you thousands which you found.
