How to Achieve Success and Avoid Mistakes in Your Twitter Marketing

Believe it or not, Twitter has grown to be one of social media’s largest growing arenas. Twitter offers a site that allows you to send out short updates to people, sort of like text messaging, and soon enough the online marketplace saw how useful this could be for their business. But each marketing tool uses Twitter in their own way. If you want to get the results you expect, you should do everything correctly. You can totally destroy your hard work if you do not know how to utilize your marketing media. The great thing about this type of marketing is you can avoid common Twitter foul-ups by following a few simple rules. First off, you should remember that Twitter is a widely used social networking site, and people are on there for fun. That’s one of the reasons your business will get some great exposure. This article discusses how easy it is to use Twitter to promote your business and what mistakes you should not make when using Twitter to boost your business’ image.

Find out how to get followers on Twitter!

One of the most common problems people have when they use Twitter to begin marketing a product is having an exaggerated opinion of themselves. The other thing that people have to learn is that not every person who sees their marketing campaign even cares about what the business is about. Your prospects don’t really think about “you” but they inherently think about “themselves”. Even if you created a revolutionary software program that would make Bill Gates jealous, it doesn’t matter. They will always ask themselves how your product could make their life better. No matter what the product or service your audience is going to ask that one question: What do I get out of this? Once you understand that very important concept, you should be able to come up with a great Twitter marketing movement. Another major problem that Twitter marketers run into is not giving enough information about their product. IF no one can figure out who you are you’re going to be ignored. One way to clarify yourself is to create a biography that will hook your prospects, and include a photo so they could identify you. You should not miss out on the first chance you have with a prospect just because they couldn’t find out anything about you. But that doesn’t mean you take yourself too seriously. Yes, that’s yet another common mistake you can see people making on Twitter. The whole point of being on Twitter is to be urbane and witty. Their lives might already be too hectic, so you shouldn’t really add to that. Your tweets need to be spiced up and have a tinge of humor to them. As they become more familiar with who you are, they will begin to care more about the product that you represent. Just don’t be too dry and colorless.

Another mistake that marketers make is that they keep forgetting that Twitter is a community, where you always, always have to participate if you want real results. Without being willing to give yourself, you should not expect to receive. But the good thing is, this mistake can be easily avoided. Since Twitter is a community, you have to take part in it by following other people in your niche and personally responding to tweets sent your way. If all you do is send “one-way” tweets without any interaction with everyone else, don’t look for any returns. The logic here is very simple – if you want Twitter to serve you as a marketing tool, then you have to work on getting followers. You must contribute to the community by giving valuable tweets that individuals will enjoy reading in order to gain this following. Make them feel benefited and they will give you what you want. All in all, Twitter marketing is all about staying away from these common mistakes that only take common sense to avoid.

Keyword Research Services – Worth It Or Not?

March 10th, 2010

If you aren’t a guru then you may (like me) find keyword research difficult. Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.

I thought the data from Google’s keyword tool was always bang on. After all, they should be giving out accurate info. Well, it turns out the figures aren’t always right.

The results you see are not always correct, far from it. However it would have been when they collated it. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.

I was going for a keyword that had roughly five thousand competing pages. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. I started banging articles out left right and centre. Hundreds in fact.

Soon after I noticed Google telling me there was about 9000 competing pages now. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I started to think thinks weren’t going to be easy as I thought. As it happens most of these extra results were my articles on these different sites.

What I’m saying is that I would have left it alone had I saw over 9000 competing sites. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. Not a bad situation to be in if you ask me.

Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. Hopefully I could get some golden keywords delivered to my inbox every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.

Travis Sago was offering a keyword research service which I decided to try. Travis being numero uno in the bum marketing world. And I like bum marketing, I like it a lot.

One or two good quality keywords delivered each day could save me hours of time. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. If I contrast a couple hours of my time against the cost each day it has to be value.

I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.

If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. Earlier I mentioned that I ended up with thousands of articles on websites for a certain keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.

Have You Begun Utilizing the Strength of Web 2.0 Marketing in Your Business?

March 9th, 2010

A so called rebirth of the web, also known as Web 2.0, has proven to be among the most gripping of Internet trends. With this new technology, the World Wide Web has opened up to a vast realm of possibilities for networking and communicating thoughts and ideas more easily. It not only changed the way we look at the online world, but it also had a major impact over online businesses. Obviously the goal of an online company is to find ways to generate interest in its product. Using Web 2.0 to promote your business is much the same as using any other advertising plan. In this article, we’ll be looking at how your business can benefit from Web 2.0 marketing and why it’s important to make use of it. Using Wordpress, promotion of any type of niche is possible. For example, if you want to do a promotion for a hostgator coupon code, this would be the perfect medium for it.

Rather than first jumping into the particular details of the Web 2.0 technique, let’s start by getting a better knowledge of what it actually is. Having already debated the many merits of this technology in all relevant fields, individuals have classified it by numerous means. Web 2.0 in its truest essence is more active than Web 1.0 – meaning, it’s more dynamic, interactive and lively. It makes it possible to have “instant” feedback. That potential led to such things as social networking, news aggregation sites, and discovery services. The blogging technology along with RSS feeds, commenting, etc just took things a lot further. The reason Web 2.0 gained so much momentum in such a short time is because it helped anyone, almost anyone with Internet access to secure their own place on the Internet. It made it simple for individuals to publish their own material and let other people read it. Now your profile and information were able to be put up on a wide variety of Web 2.0 websites for greater access, creating a significant energy and demand in marketing on the Internet scene. Comments that allow individuals to subscribe to your RSS feeds encourage much of this interaction on such websites. All these innovations brought about a change in the way Internet marketing was done.

For one example of the changes Web 2.0 brought to online marketing, consider the benefits brought about by the ability of site visitors to post comments. Search engines look for new content. When the content on your site is regularly updated, it is more likely to be picked up by the search engines. Comments left by visitors to your site count as new content that didn’t take any time or effort on your part to create. Going a step further than just comments, RSS feeds can be useful as well. These will let your visitors commit to a subscription of your web-page, thereby giving them greater access anytime to detailed updates. And this is how you receive follow up visits to your site. A good way to increase your search engine rankings is to submit your RSS feeds to RSS directories in order to gain backlinks. This gives you a double effect, because your feeds will bring direct traffic to your site and the search engines will bring organic traffic. It is important to remember when promoting niches such as for a hostgator coupon code to always keep the vistor’s interest high.

To get the greatest possible benefits to your marketing with Web 2.0, you need to explore and use the many possibilities it offers. There are tons of different ways you can utilize Web 2.0 marketing for your benefit. Remember, you don’t have any advertising costs involved when working with this type of marketing; you can try out various techniques and see which one suits your business.

Keyword Research Services – Follow My Test Of The Instacash Keyword Service

March 8th, 2010

Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? I can find lots of them. Most of what I find are just not good enough.

I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. A big company like that wouldn’t give false results, would they? Well, that’s not always the case.

The results you see are not always correct, far from it. At the time it was put together it will have been perfectly correct. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.

I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I felt I could do well with that one. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.

It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. I was downhearted at this new revelation. Maybe it was going to be far more difficult than I imagined. It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.

The point I’m trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. An awful lot of these new sites were showing my article, thus I was my own competitor. A good result all round in my opinion.

Not wanting to rely on luck every time I thought I’d try a keyword research service. My hope was to get some ‘killer’ keywords delivered by email every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.

Travis Sago was offering a service which I decided to try. After all, he’s the king of the bum marketers. Bum (article) marketing is something I enjoy as it’s almost free.

It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. If I weigh the cost each day against my two hours work it clearly becomes value for money.

Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. Outsourcing my keyword research to someone else.

If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. I mentioned earlier about getting thousands of articles published for a good keyword. I’ll let you into that little secret on my site.
